Increased fluoresence, though small, was observed for samples containing ZnPPIX, both 8 and 4 repeat DNA, and AuNPs.  I need to increase the concentration of ZnPPIX in the solutions containing the 8 repeat DNA, which will hopefully result in further increased fluoresence due to the formation of twice the amount of G-quadruplexes compared to the 4 repeat DNA.

  • Do calculations and prepare samples with DNA and AuNPs
  • Run absorption measurements of those samples

Notes

Increased fluoresence, though small, was observed for samples containing ZnPPIX, both 8 and 4 repeat DNA, and AuNPs. I need to increase the concentration of ZnPPIX in the solutions containing the 8 repeat DNA, which will hopefully result in further increased fluoresence due to the formation of twice the amount of G-quadruplexes compared to the 4 repeat DNA.
