OBJECTIVES

  • Continue to clean, filter, and separate out the oil from the previously prepared microspheres on 2/22/13
  • Prepare more microsphere samples expanding upon new previous method developed (new modifications)

RECALL MICROSPHERE PREPARATION PROTOCOL ON 2/20/13

1μM Rhodamine 6G Dye Concentration (90:10)

  M1V1 = M2V2
  1μM (RG6)x 10mL = (92μM)V2    V2 = 109μL

1μM Rhodamine 6G Dye Concentration (50:50)

  M1V1 = M2V2
  1μM (RG6)x 10mL = (165μM)V2    V2 = 61μL

  • Unfortunately, DSC samples were not taken before the Rhodamine 6G dye was added; therefore, these samples must be remade again.
