About me
I am a third year PhD candidate in the <html><body><a href="http://jewettlab.northwestern.edu/JewettLab/Home.html">Jewett Lab</a></body></html> at Northwestern University. My PhD thesis is focused on genetically encoding non-standard amino acids with diverse physical, chemical and biological properties in Escherichia coli. This work has the potential to transform how we synthesize materials, investigate protein structure and understand the limits of biology.
Education
- PhD, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Northwestern University, currently pursuing
- BS, Department of Biological Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, June 2011
