Objective

To synthesize AuNPs using the procedure developed here:

In addition, to repeat the experiment performed on 08/31/11, 09/07/11, 09/27/11, and 09/28/11.

Description

  1. Combine 0.974 mL of 0.0154 mM BSA and 0.581 mL of 4.3 mM HAuCl4 in a capped test tube at room temperature.
  2. Add water to a total volume of 10 mL
  3. Place reaction mixture in an oven at 80°C for 30 min under thermostatic conditions.
  4. Remove reaction mixture from oven and allow to sit at room temperature for 10 min.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for 3 hr.

Data

Purple protein fibers appeared in solution.
