7.06 (Cell Biology) No, Fall 2009
7.03 (Genetics) Yes, Fall 2008
7.02 (General Biology Lab) No
5.310 (General Chemistry Lab) No

Do you have experience with... Answer yes/no/type
Cell culture (microbial/mammalian/yeast?) Yes, Bacterial - E. Coli, Lactobacillus bulgaricus, L. lactis, L. acidophilus, Lactococcus lactis, S. mutans

Please briefly describe any previous laboratory experience

  • UCLA Bioengineering Dept (Benjamin Wu Lab)- Fatigue life testing of Nickel-Titanium dental drilling instruments
  • MIT iGEM Team (Drew Endy, Tom Knight Labs)- Worked to create a novel probiotic form of Lactobacillus that would secrete peptide p1025 in yogurt and prevent tooth decay
  • UCSF Cardiac Engineering Lab (Elaine Tseng Lab)- Worked on in-vitro model of aortic valve disease and aortic dissections to test new methods of percutaneously repairing aortic valves and dissections
