Do you have any experience culturing cells (mammalian, yeast or microbial)?
I've cultured microbial cells in the past.
Do you have any experience in molecular biology (electrophoresis, PCR, etc)?
I've had experience with most of the standard techniques.
Please briefly describe any previous laboratory experience
In high school, I took a class on DNA Science which went over most of the standard molecular biology techniques. In the summer of 2007, I worked in a Drosophila Lab on Genetic Neuroscience. Last year, I worked in the Niles Lab here first semester. Over the summer, I worked at Harvard Medical School on zebrafish, and I also worked part time as a member of MIT's iGEM team. I've also had a decent bit of computational experience.
Anything else you would like us to know?
I don't have any overarching interests in one subfield or another; rather, I'll find problems that interest me, and think about them for a while, come up with a few ideas, and move on. Hopefully, someday I'll get better at actually trying out these ideas.
