David Altman

I am an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at Willamette University. Research in my lab focuses on understanding how the molecular motor myosin is regulated in its cellular environment.

I conducted undergraduate research in the lab of Dr. David Grier when he was a member of the University of Chicago Department of Physics. I completed my Ph.D. in the Department of Physics at Stanford University in the lab of Dr. James Spudich , which is in Stanford's Department of Biochemistry. I was a post-doctoral scholar in Stanford University's Department of Chemistry in the lab of Richard Zare. I was also a post-doctoral scholar in Stanford University's Department of Chemical Engineering in the lab of | Alex Dunn.
