Objective

Measure the viscosity of polymer solutions

Description

Two 1g/100mL stock solutions of PVOH were prepared with the following molecular weights:

  • 22000
  • 100000

These solutions were stirred with heat (up to ~90°C) until all PVOH was dissolved and then left to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, the following dilutions of each stock solution with H2O were prepared: ¾, ½, ¼, and 1/8. We then measured the viscosity of each stock solution along with their dilutions
