Objective
Bench Work
For the AAS (atomic absorption Spectrometer), the published detection limit for gold is 0.2 ppm ( a 1% absorbance) for this instrument. recent experiments put the detection limit closer to 2 ppm for gold, and since 20 ppm is roughly 0.1 mM Au, therefore I created standards ranging from 5 to 40 ppm. For reference the molecular weight of gold is 197 g/mol.
