Welcome! I am a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of Marvin Whiteley at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Molecular Biosciences. My research in the Whiteley lab centers largely around the physiology and pathogenesis of bacteria in polymicrobial infections, including those of wounds and in periodontal disease. One of the main classes of tools I use to approach this problem are high-throughput sequencing-based methods. Through these methods, I hope to advance the understanding of the global gene networks that pathogens use to cause disease, as well as advance knowledge about global gene networks more generally. Finally, I've always loved developing new experimental techniques and systems, and hope to contribute to diverse fields of study by developing new ways to look at interesting problems.

My ultimate career goal is to obtain a tenure-track faculty position at a research and graduate education institution, so that I can continue to work in these directions for many years to come and help train the next generation of scientists. Thank you for your interest in my work. Please feel free to contact me with questions, comments or potential collaborations.

Thank you for visiting!
