  • a phenol derived aspartate acid precursor
  • a ligand for the synthesis of aspartame when combined to acesulfame.
  • a "phenylketonuric" compound associated to PKU or phenylketonuria disease, a group of symptoms associated to mental retardation and cognitive impairments, therefore excess phenylalanine is converted
