pH adjustment for LB medium
- Before autoclaving the LB medium:
- dip pH-meter probe in the medium to monitor pH (wash probe with deionized water and calibrate pH-meter with 2 points when required);
- ajust pH with HCl, NaOH (or KOH). While handling strong acid/base, always wear suitable protections!
- wash the pH probe with deionized water and store it in KCl 3M.
- Autoclave the medium
