A | A full-time postdoc position is available immediately for a NIGMS funded multi-investigator, multi-year project to develop ultrabright and ultrasmall nanodots into in vivo fluorogenic biological labels (PI, Robert Dickson). These probes will be non-emissive until bound to target proteins and will be used for imaging of intracellular single molecule dynamics. This specific postdoc project will involve studying nucleocytoplasmic trafficking in response to oxidative stress using the nanodots under development. The researcher will be working directly with the labs of Melissa Kemp (Biomedical Engineering) and Dr. Christine Payne (Chemistry & Biochemistry) to generate genetically-encoded binding tags and perform live cell imaging.

| ||
We seek highly-motivated individuals interested in the development and application of novel molecular probes for single molecule imaging. Requirements include a Ph.D. in molecular or cell biology (or related field), excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with team members in multiple disciplines. Salary will be commensurate with prior research experience and NIH guidelines. | |||
