What's "Marimo"?

Marimo is a Japanese name of Aegagropila linnaei. It is known as the "Lake Ball" or "Moss Balls" in English.
In Japanese, Marimo literally means "ball of seaweed". Although some Marimo live as filaments attached to rocks,
Marimo that lives in Lake Akan, Hokkaido are round due to the various environmental factors and conditions.
