  • One part of our group made glycerol stocks for back-ups in case we use up all our plasmid and minipreps so we can isolate plasmid DNA next week. The next step is to cut the plasmid DNA with restriction enzymes and run a gel to confirm results.
  • The other part finished extracting DNA from onions and prepared 8 samples of just DNA and 8 samples of DNA with digestion enzymes for a gel that will be ran on next Tuesday. Depending on the results either we will continue with PCR or start over with extracting DNA.
