From OpenWetWare
Welcome to Mike Wade's OWW homepage. The Wade Lab is in the department of biology at Indiana University, and combines experimental & theoretical approaches to a variety of evolutionary problems across many study systems. Some of our current projects include: documenting genes contributing to reproductive isolation between populations of beetles, theoretical and genomic investigations of the role of symbiont transmission mode in the evolution of host-symbiont interactions, and studies of the evolution of genes that are not expressed by every individual in every generation, such as maternal effect genes, sex-specific genes, and genes involved in quorum sensing.
