Synthesizing Gold Nanoparticles with using two different ratios of BSA to HAuCl4. (heat block at 80 degree celcius)


Ratio of BSA to HAuCl4 is 62.5.

-Epi Test Tube A: 100ul of 30.0 uM of BSA, 75 ul of 2.5uM of HAuCl4 and 825 ml of water.(TAKE OUT EVERY 30 MIN, KEEP OUT FOR 10 MIN IN ICE BATH)

-Epi Test Tube B: 100ul of 30.0 uM of BSA, 75 ul of 2.5uM of HAuCl4 and 825 ml of water. (TAKE OUT EVERY 30 MIN, KEEP OUT FOR 10 MIN)


Ratio of BSA to HAuCl4 is 166.7.

-Epi Test Tube C: 100ul of 30.0 uM of BSA, 200ul of 2.5uM of HAuCl4 and 700ul of water.(TAKE OUT EVERY 30 MIN, KEEP OUT FOR 10 MIN IN ICE BATH)

-Epi Test Tube D: 100ul of 30.0 uM of BSA, 200ul of 2.5uM of HAuCl4 and 700ul of water.(TAKE OUT EVERY 30MIN, KEEP OUT FOR 10 MIN)

Epitube A: light pinkish purple color. No fibers.

Epitube B: Light pinkish purple color. No fibers.

Epitube C: Darker purple color. No fibers.

Epitube D: Clear solution. Purple fibers are formed.
