Spermatogenesis

  • Collected non-scutoid, bar-eyed virgin females and non-scutiod, bar-eyed males from the following cross:
    • [MH107,hsFLP/Fm7Ag ; Sc/CyoAg ] x [ w/y ; FRT42D ]
    • Using to establish stable source of [ w/Fm7AG ; FRT42D/CyoAg ]
  • Collected virgins of the following lines
    • Experimental: [MH107,hsFLP/Fm7Ag ; mRFP, myb+, FRT42D/CyoAg ]
    • Control: [w ; mRFP, myb+, FRT42D/CyoAg ]
    • Was not able to cross to [ Fm7AG/Y ; FRT42D/CyoAg ], not enough progeny collected to both preserve line and begin experiment. Will check tomorrow.


FRT/RFP Recombination

  • Collected mRFP 22B2 and mRFP 27B1 virgin females. Crossed to FRT40 males.
  • Collected mRFP 60E5 virgin females. Crossed to FRT42D males.
