Objective Synthesize precursor molecule K8[BW11O39H]·13H2O Protocol Added 150.1220 g of Na2WO4·H2O and 10.0560 g of Boric Acid to 250 mL of boiling water. Added ~95 mL of 6 M HCl with vigorous stirring until the pH was 6. Boiled solution for 1 hour Results All water boiled off in 1 hour and left a large chunk of white powder. An attempt to redissolve this powder was unsuccessful and the product was disposed of.
