Entry title

Purpose: Printing disks and smoothing disks

Methods: See 1/29/15 for disk printing and smoothing

Experimental:

Renaming acetone test 3 to ABS 1. Printed ABS 2-6 using previous formatting.

Smoothing ABS 1 with 50 mL acetone on lowest heating setting. Heated for 3 hours 20 minutes. A drop formed and fell on the disk.

Printing with TiO2 1% filament extruded from Dr. Fox's extruder on 9/17/14. All dogbone settings.

1% #1. 1.85 mm to 1.86 mm fist approximate meter. Selected 1.85. 1% #2. 1.85 mm to 1.84 mm fist approximate meter. Selected 1.85. 1% #3. 1.85 mm to 1.86 mm fist approximate meter. Selected 1.85. Print failed.

Tried reprinting using pure ABS, still failed. Cleaned with acetone by putting nozzle into small beaker of the solution. Attempted print failed. Used piano wire to floss nozzle. Attempted print failed again.
