Bacteriophages as Biocontrol Agents

Have you ever heard of it and if so would you consider eating food that has been treated with bacteriophages to reduce the number of pathogens potentially present?

I have worked in the field of phage therapy for over 5 years (in the UK and US) and would be interested in the views of other scietists who do not generally work with phage.
