March 17th, 2015 Today, Andrew and I continued the filtration of the cobalt/porphyrin/protein solution. We had previously run through 20 mL H20, so we ran through 20 mL of phosphate buffer. Following the buffer, we ran the 2.5 mL sample through the column, followed by 3.5 mL buffer, collecting a salmon-colored solution. We then ran 20 mL of the buffer and capped the column. The solution was determined to be cloudy, and it was decided that another filtration would be performed during the next lab day.
