Objective

Today's objective is to measure the absorbance of our AuNP after alpha-chymotrypsin was added. This was recorded by using an Ocean Optics spectrometer.

Protocol

After calibrating the ocean optics spectrometer, we added the water, buff, and AuNP components to the cuvette. Those components were .1 mL of tris buffer, 2 mL of homogeneous AUNP fibers, and calculated 81.7µL of protease and 618µL of water. Recordings were taken every 2 minutes for 2.5 hours after the protease has been added.

Data

Below are graphs from the overall ocean optics data and the data collected over time at the 530nm wavelength because of its high absorbance
