Objective Today's objective was to learn the basics of three tools that we will utilize during this course OceanOptics, UV Vis, and fluorescence spectroscopy. Data Unfortunately we created homogeneous mixtures of AuNPs in the lab preformed on 9/2/2015. our goal was to make fibrous solutions, but no AuNP fibers were produced. Dr. Hartings repeated the process to obtain these fibers for future use using the procedure found here Instead, all groups took the opportunity to try to UV Vis and Fluorescence spectrometers with samples of varying concentration. Results were compared to one another to identify a general trend in that data between concentrations and absorbance/fluorescence.
