The Hysteresis Model I tackled the modeling of the hysteresis observed in the AKT signaling pathway problem. I obtained the paper Media:Friction Models and Friction Compensation by Olsson et al, Eur. J. Control, Vol. 4, No. 3. (1998), pp. 176-195. I simulated the Dahl model (for dynamical friction) included in the paper using Simulink. The code is Media:Hysteresis.mdl and the following figure: shows the result from the simulation (the horizontal axis corresponds to the displacement, and the vertical axis corresponds to the friction force). The file Media:dynamic_friction_EJC_98.pdf corresponds to a preprint version of the Olsson paper.
