Dylan O. Burge Research Wiki

Welcome to my research wiki. I am currently a graduate student in the Biology Department at Duke University (Duke Bio). My dissertation research (see Ceanothus below) concerns the systematics and edaphic ecology of the plant genus Ceanothus (Rhamnaceae). However, I am generally interested in the evolution of plant edaphic ecology. My research uses molecular phylogenetic tools, in combination with data on plant and soil chemistry, to discover how edaphic ecology has influenced patterns of plant evolution and diversification. Other areas of research include taxonomy, fossil history, biogeography, and the evolution of nitrogen fixing symbiosis.
