Objectives

  • to remake Au/BSA mixtures, because the solutions made yesterday did not react,
  • to re-suspend the fibers from pellet form using various dilutions of 0.1M Tris buffer at pH 8 and 10, and
  • to run resuspended fibers under the UV.

Description

Adjustments: 1. The spatula was wrapped in parafilm when measuring out both BSA and HAuCl4. 2. One concentration was made at first and tested by heating in the oven and checking an hour later to see if a color change occurred.
