Project Description/Abstract

  • Tyrosinase is an important enzyme for it's importance on melanin metabolism which is associated with resistance factors on several bacteria.

For this project we are trying to express the tyrosinase gene from Bacillus megaterium QMB1551 and express it in E. coli.

Notes

  • This project is currently active and developed on CINVESTAV-Irapuato by César Alberto Villavicencio from ITSON under the direction of Dr. Agustino Martinez-Antonio.
