Love it!

Steve Koch 02:51, 12 May 2009 (EDT): I just saw your edits and I really like them! I'm so glad I didn't have to do this :) Here're my initial comments:

  1. I think our blogs should be way higher up--probably the second section
  2. I always think that links to things like Pub Med and Wikipedia make a site look really old and lame. Yes, I can see that new students won't know about them, but it seems almost lazy when I see it. This may or may not be irrational, but it's the way I feel, especially when I go to someone's "links" and that's all they have. Actually, I would say the majority of the time I go to a lab's "links" pages I feel like it's going to be a lame list of links to things like "Science" and "Google," and then when I click I find out I was right. It's clear to me that what I'm complaining about is my own biased perspective as an experienced scientist. The general public may love a link to "Science." So, I don't know how to deal with that. One compromise may be to link to specific Pub Med searches or specific Wikipedia articles instead of those general websites? I'll have more to say later.
