Converting a figure in Microsoft Word to an Encapsulated Postcript file.

1. Isolate the figure on its own page in the Word file.
2. Print (or convert) that page only to a PDF file.
3. Open the 1-page PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Professional.
4. From the menu, select Document -> Crop Pages.
5. Crop the page such that your figure has appropriate margins.
6. From the menu, select File -> Save As.
7. Save as an EPS file.
