Autoclaving

• All dry items (tips, flasks, tubes, etc.) - 20 minutes steam, 20 minutes drying
• All liquids (plate agar, media, solutions) - 20 minutes steam
• All waste (old plates, etc.) - Must be in bio-hazard bag. 1 hr in big autoclave.

Dish washing

• Wash with dissolved powdered detergent. Rinse with DI water (Milli-Q if you're worried).
• Do not wash out water bottles with detergent!
• Do not wash empty 10% glycerol bottles with detergent!
