Poisson Statistics

This lab was performed in the senior laboratory in the UNM physics building on November 15th following the procedure outlined in Dr. Gold's lab manual

Procedure

Using a computer we collected data from a detector and then analysed the data to determine if it was distributed Poisson or normal. A link to the data: File:PoissonDataExcel.xls

Some graphs and / or a table here would be good to show the results concisely.

The data closely matches the predicted distribution for Poisson, this as well as the fact that the square root of the mean and the standard deviation from each trial were very close leads me to conclude that this data has a Poisson distribution.
