First Class Notes We know a lot about Physics and Chemistry, but we don't know that much about Systems Sciences. We've observed trends for many years, but science changes radically, and it changes all the time. Carol Palmer-- worked in a professional setting, including Ask This: How do we ground these historical problems in contemporary settings Objectives: Become familiar with a range of classic and contemporary literature and research on scientific information in LIS and cognate fields. Gain experience constructively analyzing and critiquing research literature in relation to its contribution to core problems in the information professions. Develop an independent project that advances the student’s interests and goals related to scientific or scholarly information.
