First Class Notes

We know a lot about Physics and Chemistry, but we don't know that much about Systems Sciences. We've observed trends for many years, but science changes radically, and it changes all the time.

  • How do we ground these historical problems in contemporary settings

Objectives:

  • Become familiar with a range of classic and contemporary literature and research on scientific information in LIS and cognate fields.
  • Gain experience constructively analyzing and critiquing research literature in relation to its contribution to core problems in the information professions.
  • Develop an independent project that advances the student’s interests and goals related to scientific or scholarly information.
