University of Connecticut Molecular and Cellular Biology Course 214

Course Description

MCB214: Techniques in DNA Identification is a 2 credit lab course. Over the course of the semester students work through a real experiment while learning a range of standard molecular biology techniques. This includes, genomic DNA, RNA, plasmid and BAC purifications, PCR, dideoxy sequencing, southern blotting, RT PCR, and a variety of cloning methods.
