Preparation of Planarians for DNA Isolation 9/18/11 Obtained one planarian from six that had been starved for twelve days. Planarian was cut horizontally at midsection and placed into HyVee natural spring water in a dark drawer at room temperature. It was allowed to regenerate for the next 72 hours.
