Continuation of Experiment #1

Today, we found out after our second plating of what was supposed to be our transformed bacteria, that only three plates had colonies on them out of the 8 that were plated. Two plates contained the red fluorescent protein plasmid, and one plate has what we assume to be the Lux superpart. We will do the plasmid isolation for these colonies Tuesday, after making overnight cultures on Monday. We also prepared more DNA parts today so that we can do transformations next week.
