Yu Zhi was the first research associate in the lab. He discovered a novel transcriptional repressor (FAZF) by doing two hybrid experiments with the Fanconi protein FANCC as bait.  After leaving the lab Yu Zhi spent 4 years at Eli Lilly. He is now a Senior Research Associate at Merck, Inc .
