Alex Dakos, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, USA
Alexander Stamatios Dakos, of Greek descent, was born in Virginia in the United States on April 20, 1991. Attending Nansemond-Suffolk Academy from preschool through twelfth grade, Alex graduated Valedictorian of his class in 2009. Alex's favorite movie is The Matrix, and although he enjoys nonfiction, The Stranger is one of his favorite novels. Currently, he is a rising junior in the biomedical engineering program at The Johns Hopkins University. In the future, he hopes to advance to medical school. Already crossing Beijing off the list, Alex also hopes to visit Tokyo and Dubai.
