CHEMISTRY SAFETY

CAPTAINS: Herschlag and Harbury Labs - B471 & B437


BEFORE USE:


Beckman B442 is a shared lab space where Biochemistry researchers perform bench chemistry activities.


- Allows researchers to be able to setup and run chemical reactions.


- Frequently used equipment in B442 include spectrophotometers and rotary evaporators. Please consult designated equipment captain Fanny Sunden or Herschlag lab designee to provide instruction on use of specialty lab equipment.


- All new users MUST receive orientation and be trained by lab RA prior to working in B442 with Chemistry Equipment to assure researchers understand local lab hazards and safety practices prior to their initial work.
