Any references you have, make sure to ask them first and whether you can include email and / or phone number. I'm a great one, obviously. You want people who will unequivocally endorse you or at least be very famous. I'd expect Evan would sing your praises, but you need to check with him. - Activities: these are just there to make you look normal and possibly lead to conversation during an interview. Don't put something if you don't want to talk about it (same goes for anything else).
- Put your Santa Fe talk as "Invited" section, or somehow make it clear it's an invited talk.
- The patent will eventually get a number. For now you can just say the exact title, and year (2009)
- Brevity is useful in these kinds of CVs. It's tricky--a regular academic CV is long and lists everything. But a business resume strives to be one page. You're going to be in the 3-page range I was in, which is probably fine for most postdoc positions. If you apply for quant jobs, I'd assume you should make it one-page, but you can ask Brad or Richard.
- I was writing that because you don't have to list all your IGERT presentations individually. If you want, could say IGERT posters and talks 2008-2010 or whatever. I dunno.
- I may still have your resume, but I'm sure Alisa Gibson can get you a copy if not.
