Steve Koch 23:01, 9 November 2009 (EST): Nice summary! That's an amazing paper out of an amazing lab. I've read it twice so far and still need to read it some more to learn about everything they found. Attaching the bead via the stiff dsDNA molecule was very clever (and probably very difficult). But the things they can then study (with very precise OT) are really cool, especially the ability to shake the OT back and forth to determine the binding state. This paper made a big impact on parameters for the kinetic model Larry's working on.
Steve Koch 23:01, 9 November 2009 (EST): Also, FYI, in case others haven't told you, there's a couple very good tools for managing your references. One of them in Mendeley. The other is citeulike. I'd recommend both of these (of course there are many others). Probably Mendeley with its "folder watch" feature will give you the most benefit for very little effort.
