*Analysis Prep
**10 5mL Fiber samples were transferred into 5 15mL centrifuge tubes.
**Samples were then centrifuged for 5 mins at 4000 R.
*XRD
**Droplets of fibers were placed on a small amount of PlayDoh and kneaded together. The combination pf PlayDoh and fibers was placed into a lid specific for XRD.
*DSC
**Sample 1: AuNP Fiber
***Pan & Lid: 51.37 mg
***Sample: 3.49 mg
***Together: 53.73 mg
**Sample 2: AuNP Fiber
***Pan & Lid: 50.80 mg
***Sample: 4.43 mg
***Together: 53.74 mg
**Sample 3: AuNP Fiber
***Pan & Lid: 50.71 mg
***Sample: 3.63 mg
***Together: 54.44 mg
**Sample 4: Lysozyme
***Pan & Lid: 51.237 mg
***Sample: 3.04 mg
***Together: 54.38 mg
 
*Sample 1 was placed in well 27 in the DSC apparatus. Samples 2, 3 and 4 were placed in wells 28, 29 and 30, respectively.
*Cycling Settings:
**Equilibrate at 20°C
**Ramp up to 5°C/min and to 100°C.
**Isothermal - 3 mins
**Ramp down to 5°C/min and to 20°C
**Repeat (blue arrow)
**Lastly, external event (OFF) <= (only for the last sample was this configuration added.)

  • Analysis Prep
