Objective

Synthesizing Gold nanoparticles with different conditions

Description

Synthesizing Gold nanoparticles.(2.5mM of chloroauric acid and 15.5 mM of BSA)


-Big Epi Test tube 2A with 100 ul of BSA, 800ul of water and 100ul of chloroauric acid.(with this order) was prepared. The test tube was placed in to the heat block which was at 80 degree celcius and immediately took it out of the heat block at the end.

(BIG/ FAST / WITH AIR/800ul WATER)


-Small Epi Test tube 2B with 100ul of BSA, 600ul of water and 100ulof chloroauric acid.The test tube was placed in to the heat block which was at 75 degree celcius and immediately took it out of the heat block at the end.

(SMALL/ FAST/ WITHOUT AIR/600ul WATER)


-Big Epi test tube 2C with 100 ul of BSA, 800ul of water and 100ul of chloroauric acid.(with this order) was prepared. The test tube was placed in to the heat block which was at 80 degree celcius and took it out of the heat block by decreasing the temperature.

(BIG/ SLOW/ WITH AIR/800ul WATER)


-Small Epi Test tube 2D with 100ul of BSA, 600ul of water and 100ul of chloroauric acid.(with this order) was prepared. The test tube was placed in to the heat block which was at 80 degree celcius and took it out of the heat block by decreasing the temperature.

(SMALL/ SLOW/ WITHOUT AIR/600ul WATER)


-Big Epi Test tube 2E with 100 ul of BSA, 800ul of water and 100ul of chloroauric acid.(with this order) was prepared. The test tube was placed in to the heat block which was at 80 degree celcius and immediately took it out of the heat block at the end. Every 30min, the lid of the epi test tube was open.

(BIG/ FAST/ WITH AIR/ OPEN LID/800ul WATER)


-Big Epi Test tube 2F with 100ul of BSA, 400ul of water and 100ul of chloroauric acid.(with this order) was prepared. The test tube was placed in to the heat block which was at 80 degree celcius and immediately took it out of the heat block at the end.

(BIG/ FAST/ WITH AIR/400ul WATER)


-Big Epi Test tube 2G with 100ul of BSA, 400ul of water and 100ul of chloroauric acid.(with this order) was prepared. The test tube was placed in to the heat block which was at 80 degree celcius and took it out of the heat block by decreasing the temperature.

(BIG/ SLOW/ WITH AIR/400ul WATER)

Observations

t= 120min (immediately taken out)

Test Tube 2A= Formation of purple fibers.

Test Tube 2B= Formation of purple fibers.

Test Tube 2E= Formation of purple fibers.

Test Tube 2F= Formation of purple fibers.


t= 150min (slowly decreasing the temperature)

Test Tube 2C= Formation of purple fibers.

Test Tube 2D= Formation of purple fibers.

Test Tube 2G= Formation of purple fibers.
