We also chose these samples based on their FTIR spectras, which indicated a successful encasing of the magnetite into the protein.

*The two hemoglobin samples of 16500:1 Mag:Heme and 17000:1 were prepared again because the previous sample had completely evaporated. A lack of solution made microscopic analysis impossible.
