Career Goals

I want to be neurosurgeon. One of the reasons why I want to be neurosurgeon is because the brain plays a key role in our lives. It determines how we perceive the world and from those perceptions we act accordingly. By study neuroscience, I hope to gain a better understanding of how the brain works. Through neurosurgery, I hope to help those who deal with brain injuries so that they have better control of their lives. I may try to narrow my focus to become a pediatric neurosurgeon.

My Resume

Hobbies

Playing the Piano

  • I've played since I was 8 years old. Growing up, I was trained to play classical, jazz, and blues pieces. I continue to practice and learn new songs.

Exercising

  • I enjoy being active, especially if I have to chance to be surrounded by nature. Those activities include hiking, bicycling, and running. I recently discovered that I really like indoor skydiving, so I hope to have more opportunities to do that again!

Reading

  • I love books. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies when I have time to read a book of my choice when I'm not reading textbooks. Reading allows me to escape and go to a different world. Stories may hold lessons that I can learn or interesting facts that I did not know before. Reading is awesome.
