I work in the Your Lab at XYZ University. I learned about OpenWetWare from web search while looking for Tm methods to add to some DNA utilities I'm writing (pre-alpha at http://www.dnascript.freeiz.com/ ), and I've joined because I've supported the idea of online sharing since the 1990s, when I maintained an online resource with some of the protocols I used in Angela Tyner's lab. I'm not entirely sure why OWW wasn't more successful, but it occupies a useful position between Wikipedia and MOOC content that is worth a closer look. I am a former postdoc with experience in mammalian and insect systems, also very familiar with MediaWiki (including Lua/Scribunto if you are planning to update), and I'd welcome your suggestions for where you could use some help. Otherwise, I see some areas in which your site could use work right away: for example, practically any entry under Materials. More broadly, my feeling is that your site needs a way to bring its massive resources of archived coursework "to life", after the fashion of Udacity - in other words, to provide self-contained instruction units that can be taken at any time, permit students to check their progress via quizzes handled by a server, and ultimately finish the course feeling that they had measurably demonstrated a certain level of understanding..
