Objectives

  • Analyze solutions of porphine and either Al2(SO4)3, Fe2(SO4)3 FeSO4, or Na2SO4 in HPLC H2O.
  • Obtain FTIR data on PVOH films.

Absorbance of Solutions of 1.89 μM Porphine and Varied Concentration of Salt in HPLC H2O

  • The concentrations of salt in a total solution volume of 10 mL, with porphine concentration of 1.89 μM were as follows:
    • 1 mM, 2 mM, 5 mM, and 10 mM Al2(SO4)3
    • 1 mM, 2 mM, 5 mM, and 10 mM Fe2(SO4)3
    • 1 mM, 2 mM, 5 mM, and 10 mM FeSO4
    • 1 mM, 2 mM, 5 mM, and 10 mM Na2SO4
  • There were 16 solutions in total.
