Predicting Secreted Proteins

  • To identify secreted proteins that are DE expressed in response to Fe. I created 4 fasta files: (2,4,6 h) DE genes from Jason's study and one from the SreA knockout study.
  • I predicted secreted proteins using:
    • Proteome analyst
    • SignalP
    • LocateP was also recommended, however DB did not incl fumigatus

Predicting Transporter Proteins

Instead of running programs to predict transporters, I just used a readily available database transportDB, to find fumigatus transporters.
