The referenced paper, see [[Hartings_AU_Photosynthesis_Lab:Protocols/K6P2W18O62|here]] claims a 70g yield. We may approach that with the second recrystallization that is ongoing at 4C. I will isolate this material next week.

POM synthesis

I took the solid Na12P2W18O62 that I place in the oven yesterday and pulled vacuum on it (using our lyophilizer -- pressure = 0.02 Torr). I left the sample under vacuum for 6 hours. After this time I collected and massed the remaining solid.

Container Mass = 87.7106g Container + Solid = 139.7001g

Mass of Na12P2W18O62 = 51.989g

The referenced paper, see here claims a 70g yield. We may approach that with the second recrystallization that is ongoing at 4C. I will isolate this material next week.
