ObjectiveMaking new catalase and Hb AuNP samples, as described here for AA and UVVis analysis. DescriptionI made the following solutions:
I made HbAuNP samples similar to this procedure. Also, there are two ways to think about the ratio of Au:Hb. Hb is a tetramer. So, the molar mass is either 16125 (for the monomer) or 64500 (for the tetramer). The ratios listed below are for the tetramer/monomer. The ratios as reported in the referenced notebook page are those for the monomer.
In order to get a more detailed view of the Catalase trends I made the following solutions:
I also took UVVis of the gold, Hb, and catalase stock solutions. For each, I measured the spectrum for a 10X dilution of each stock solution.
